“Don’t be afraid to go out on a limb. That’s where the fruit is.” – H. Jackson Browne
Boosting courage and being brave does not come from staying safe and never sharing your work.
But that doesn’t mean it’s easy to put yourself out there.
I work with a lot of service-based business owners and one common mistake I see across all of their websites is they are not presenting their services and business with confidence.
It can be scary to act confidently. I get it. I face this fear every week!
However, if you want to reach more people because you *know* that you can help them in a real way, then start by showing up and putting your work out there.
Here are some quick tips on how to start showing up more consistently and confidently in your business.
Stick to a schedule. Write out a weekly marketing schedule and stick to sharing your work at least twice a week.
Accept not everything will be perfect. Part of growing and trying new things is not being great at them right away. So what if your marketing plan isn’t as robust as it “needs” to be. Start with where you’re at and with what you’ve got.
Name your fears. Being able to call out and identify your fears makes them smaller. Better yet, talk to a friend or a partner about what’s on your mind. Talking through irrational thoughts or fears can help you see clearly and choose action wisely.
What fears are holding you back in your business? What is one action you can take to boost your confidence and be brave in your business?
